Hot dip galvanization—what are the characteristics of this process?
Hot dip galvanization is a hot-dip galvanizing process that involves immersing iron in liquid zinc at a temperature of about 450 degrees Celsius. This creates a zinc layer that provides corrosion protection and protects against mechanical damage.
The advantage of this solution is that it provides long-term protection of steel against corrosion, increases resistance to abrasion and damage, which in turn reduces the need for frequent and expensive maintenance and repairs.
What is powder coating?
The second galvanization process is powder coating, or powder painting. It involves applying protective coatings to metal, for which previously electrified powder is used. Then such a metal element is hardened at high temperature to create a consistent coating.
In this way, metal elements are given high resistance and also increase their aesthetics. During this process, no solvents are used, i.e. chemical substances that could release harmful organic compounds.
