iDenfy will incorporate Smart Engines’ latest innovation in its client document verification technology.
Kaunas, Lithuania (December 18, 2020) – iDenfy, an identity-verification service provider in the Baltics region, has partnered with Smart Engines, a computer vision solutions vendor. As a result of this partnership, iDenfy will use Smart Engines’ product for ID cards, passports, driving license scanning. This technology improves and secures the identity verification process.
Denfy’s AI-powered technology checks that their identity document seems genuine and not fraudulent and then matches it to the user’s face. This ensures that the person presenting the ID is its legitimate owner.
Smart Engines aims to do its part in the community by developing technology with Green AI to provide fast and accurate ID scanning. The software uses 4- and 8-bit deep neural network inference models, making document identification fast, and reducing carbon footprint as it lowers energy consumption.
Smart Engines values security and data privacy. After years of research and development experience, the company brings recognition systems to ensure security; it uses fully autonomous ID documents scanning technologies. They do not rely on third-party services, cloud storage, or internet access to verify documents. Using Smart Engines’ technology to verify customers, iDenfy will boost document verification accuracy.
Vladimir Arlazarov, the Smart Engines’ founder and CEO, says, “iDenfy is a strong player on EU market with a great expertise in user verification. Our partnership with iDenfy shows that our document recognition solution makes the user experience more comfortable, technological and modern. At the same time, a high level of security in accordance with international standards for personal data protection is ensured.”
Domantas Ciulde, the CEO of iDenfy, says, “Smart Engines’ years of research and development in document recognition and Green AI will help us improve our ID verification service. With their comprehensive document authentication technology, we will be able to verify documents more quickly and confidently without causing any significant harm to the environment.” He further says, “In partnership with Smart Engines, we won’t need to compromise on the speed, accuracy, and data privacy when it comes to ID verification.”
iDenfy‘s goal is to turn a customer’s device into an ID scanning and face recognition system that makes it fast and easy to capture and verify their ID and other credentials to meet KYC and AML requirements. Real-time ID scanning and face verification are applied on websites and mobile applications, helping reduce risk and minimize identity-related frauds. This enables customers to perform daily operations from their home instead of going to service centers, where a company needs many cost-ineffective employees. Also, it avoids the costly and time-consuming process of manual documentation required for submission and verification.
It was founded in 2017 at Kaunas University Technology Park by two childhood friends. Company in 2018 at Lithuania was awarded as Startup of the Year, 2019 Kaunas Startup of the Year and 2020 Fintech Startup of the Year.
